If you’re not doing anything on Friday check out the Boston Vox meetup. (Sadly I’ll be on my way down to Jersey)

Crazy back story on Google’s purchase of YouTube. Seems to match up with what has happened so far. (via Waxy)

Jeremy Keith has to be at the forefront of bringing tons of meta data together in context. He’s been an inspiration for a lot of what I have going on in my sidebar. I think we both secretly do it cause we like the idea of our website updating itself.

The Ottawa International Animation Festival has a great podcast up of from one of the JibJab creators. It’s only part one so hopefully the second part will come out soon.

YouTube gets a bit of a design refresh. Update: Mashable has a bit more on the design update.

Ug. Eragon was cliché and unimaginative. I can’t believe it gets so much praise. I would not recommend this book to anyone who reads a lot of fantasy. I’ve such a long list of problems with the book it’s not even worth going in to.

My first attempt at installing WordPress Mu was unsuccessful. It seems it is not as fall of the log easy as WordPress itself. Hopefully I can find some answers in the forum.

Hello. I’m Stefan and you’ve been reading my website. According to my stats I almost have 50 readers and beyond one or two of them I have no idea who you are?

I love knowing who stops by. Trey Piepmeier, TangognaT, and Keri Adams are probably all I know who stop by.

If you check this site even only once in a while you should comment below. Let me know who you are and what you like and I’ll be sure to help you find some some awesome stuff online.

Kathy Sierra is talking about presentations and technical books but they can easily be applied to novel writing. Good to keep in mind for NaNoWriMo.

If you’re following the Lonelygirl15 show check out gemmers19 who may or may not be part of the story line. I say the high video quality suggests it is part of the series, but it’s so hard to tell. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s really amazing how video is playing a bigger and bigger role online. I can already image a world where people get a good portion of their entertainment from online productions.

The Show with ZeFrank is currently a big online hit and if you don’t at least know about it you should take a look at the video below so you know what going on.

Most of the new Revisio3 shows are a bore. Pixel Perfect is the only show that that is interesting. Bert Monroy really comes across as the next Boss Ross as he effortlessly teaches people how to master photoshop.

IE7 has finally been pushed out. Go download it now or wait for you’re auto update to download it for you. It was release about 5pm today and the IE team have already announced they have started working on IE8.

I am currently downloading the entire 280mb collection of just about everything Jonathan Coulton has ever done.

An interesting article about a guy who switched to MAC and is now switching back. Of course the MAC community is all over this picking on everything from his factual inaccuracies to his grammar.

Sure he was wrong about a lot of stuff he could not get his MAC to do but it’s not really the point. The is, and will always be, that he knew how to use a PC and now he’s back to square one with a MAC.

MACs are “easier” but MAC users forget how much easier it is to stick with windows which people already know. I mean there is better health care in Scandinavia but I don’t see every one moving there. You’d have to learn a new language, new laws, a new town, get new friends.

Windows will be around for a long time simply because people know how to use it and very few people want to start over and relearn a new operating system.
