This Untraceable movie about an untraceable website looks like the worst researched technology movie in history.
I probably should not like this song but it’s so poppy I don’t know how to not like it.
Zeldman backpedals on HTML Email as fast as he can. It only took him 5 months to figure out he was about to become irrelevant in the web standards community.
I have a hard time he really want from hating it:
“I mean it sucks because nobody needs it. It impedes rather than aids communication.”
To now loving it. Something tell me hating HTML email just became bad for business.
This is a sad score but I guess I just choked. I forgot all the table tags and Header tags. For the CSS I did not really miss anything core but more the specifics like border-left-color
Google tries to project the image that they live 100 years in the future when it comes to the work place. But it’s kind of amusing that that for their google talks they often have the same author give the same talk at multiple locations. I can’t see why they don’t just pay the author once and teleconference the rest of the company in. How low tech of google.
I find it interesting that the people who complain the most about the wii-mote are the same people who are really good old school game pad commands like up, up, down, down, left, right, left, B, A, Start.
19 quotes and references as an expert and yet no by line of his own. When will Anil publish a book?
Google adds social editing of the map markers so you can show the actual location of an address. Does not seem to factor in to map data yet. Personally I hope they add more social elements in as many people are extreme experts on their local area and have lot of map data to share.
I’m glad it’s the passengers that are crazy and not the pilots.
“If the passenger with the IPhone would be kind enough to use it to check the weather at our alternate, calculate our fuel burn due to being rerouted around the storms, call the dispatcher to arrange our release, and then make a phone call to the nearest Air Traffic Control center to arrange our timely departure amongst the other aircraft carrying passengers with IPhones, then we will be more than happy to depart. Please ring your call button to advise the Flight Attendant and your fellow passengers when you deem it ready and responsible for this multi-million dollar aircraft and its passengers to safely leave.”
Zach Inglis has a great post about things in the web design industry that I had decided to just be quietly bitter about.
The screencast for Jole Spolsky’s FogBugs is definitely one of the most amusing product demonstrations out there. So much better then their competition 37 Signals’ BaseCamp in which Jason will put you to sleep with his demonstrations.
I’ve always been a fan of the TED talks. All though this one about Climate Change with David Keith has been edited very strangely. Most times you only know an audience is there through laughter but this particular talk has all these edited reaction shots from attractive people in the audience. Who thought that was a good idea?
Rock Band is easier then Guitar Hero. So maybe I will not completely suck at it.
After some bad reviews and some video of awkward fighting I got a little worried about Assassins Creed. But I think Gabe’s review is right on and I even though I was planing on getting the game any way I am now once again super excited to finally get the game.
