wow.. I really hate the new google favicon. It’s a lot more generic and harder to recognize. And what’s up with the horrible purple color? And the horrible shine!

I was hoping I wasn’t the only one seeing this, it really is extremely unattractive, is this part of some sort of mini-rebranding? I didn’t even hear a press release about it or anything.

I kind of like it. It is less Google brand-y than the big G in a box though.
