Arrested Development not to Continue

The dream dies today as Arrested Development will stop pursuing a new network to air on. I’m not exactly sure how many Showtime subscriptions it takes to pay for a show but something tells me they would have made their money back if they had actually picked up the show.

Double-damn! I guess we should be thankful for 2.7564 seasons that can be brought into the home through the gift of DVD.

This is something I’m getting very used to. In the end I think it feels even more special since shows like these burn so bright for such a short time. It give you something to cherish.

Good writers, directors should take note form the British. Make a show that’s amazingly brilliant and lasts two seasons tops.

It’s a shame, it was a great show. I still can figure why it got cancelled in the first place, everyone I know loved that show!

I think the problem might be that we just didn’t know as many people as we thought. It never got good ratings and was mostly kept on air by executives with enough weight to make it stay on air.

It’s because American’s are stupid. If it doesn’t resemble Friends or Star Trek it gets canned.

I felt the show spiraling out of control in the third season…I’m not sure how long the show was going to last with the plotlines getting more outlandish and self-referencing with each episode.

Then again, this is the same network that cancelled Family Guy in its third season.

they knew they were living on the edge. I think they were just trying to fit it all in and swing for the fences while they were still on the air.
